Jo Hodder's Life Through Painting

Jo has been painting successfully from her home in Sussex for over 30 years. Her work has been accepted by the Pastel Society, the Society for Women Artists, and since 2006, Jo has been included in the Venice in Peril exhibition at the WH Patterson Gallery in Westminster.

Jo paints a variety of subjects and enjoys all mediums, including acrylic, watercolour, oil, pen and mixed media. Her versatility leads to a high demand for commissions such as portraits, landscapes, family homes and animals, and her more experimental impressionist work has received international acclaim.

Jo has won the Sussex Competition Club Award and was selected for the National 'Art in Nature' exhibition. She was also awarded the prize for excellence in the Southern Open Exhibition, which led to a commission to paint Cliveden House for a limited print run and the designs for the their Christmas cards.

Jo's work has also appeared on table mats, in prints, and some of her larger pieces appear in commercial buildings and educational establishments.

Jo is a qualified teacher and has run many successful private classes, workshops, weekend retreats and has also given demonstrations to numerous art groups and organisations, including the Law Society and Lloyds of London.

Now Jo devotes her time to her commissions and exhibitions. Her work can be found in a number of select galleries throughout the UK.
